Arkansas loses to Oklahoma in final nonconference game

On December 10, 2022, Oklahoma defeated Arkansas 79-70 in college basketball. The game was the final meeting between the two teams in a non-home game as they will be SEC opponents in the 2024-25 season.

The University of Arkansas Razorbacks lost to the Oklahoma Sooners 79-70 on Saturday in the BOK Center. This was the final nonconference game for the two teams, as they will be conference opponents next season.

Arkansas Coach Eric Musselman said he was impressed with how Oklahoma played, and he praised Oklahoma's 6-10 senior Sam Godwin for his contributions to the team.

Musselman also said that he doesn't think that Oklahoma joining the SEC will change the rivalry between the two teams. He said that he believes that every game in the SEC is a rivalry, and he pointed out that the Razorbacks have rivalries with other SEC teams such as Auburn and Texas.

The Razorbacks' Trevon Brazile was scoreless in 15 minutes after suffering a sprained left ankle on Monday night.

This was the Razorbacks' second loss to the Sooners this season, as Oklahoma also defeated Arkansas 88-66 in the 2021-22 season.

Oklahoma has now started the season 9-0, and this is the Sooners' best start to a season since the 2015-16 season when they won their first 14 games en route to a Final Four appearance.
